Beyond Genitality: A Comprehensive Look at Sexuality
At Cercle de Consciència, we are dedicated to offering knowledge that fosters an deeper understanding of sexuality. On 4 April, we held the conference "Beyond Genitality", led by Irene Forza, a leading expert in Integrative Sexuality.
The lecture addressed the common notion of "genitality", which often reduces sex to genitalia, proposing instead a broader perspective. Forza highlighted that the most extensive sexual organ is the skin and the most powerful is the brain, suggesting that a holistic understanding of sexuality can significantly enrich our experiences and relationships.
Irene Forza, trained at Cercle Consciència and disciple of Claudio Naranjo, has a vast experience in couples therapy and programmes such as "Encuentros de Familias". She is also a Gestalt and Systemic therapist, with training in Clinical Sexology at AISC Rome and specialisation in pelvic floor rehabilitation at the Vanvitelli University of Naples. The conference was moderated by Genisa, coordinator of the Integrative Sexuality Training.
