"Journey to be yourself

Cercle Gestalt is a space dedicated to the promotion, dissemination and training in Gestalt psychotherapy, as we learned it in the 90s from Claudio Naranjo, our teacher and mentor. The aim of the Cercle Gestalt is to promote the Gestalt attitude of cultivating awareness as a powerful tool that leads us to a state of full presence in the here and now.

What is Gestalt?

Gestalt is one of the most popular psychotherapeutic currents within the world of contemporary psychology; this approach has been contributing for many years to thousands of people around the world to deepen their inner processes, heal, and lighten their relationship with the discomfort intrinsic to life. It shares its name with Gestalt Psychology, which emerged in Germany at the beginning of the 20th century, also called Psychology of Form; although it has little to do with Gestalt psychotherapy, born in California in the 1960s by Fritz Perls, its founder. Perls offered a path of self-knowledge, a way of being in life, which shared with Gestalt Psychology precisely this suggestive name: GESTALT. Its various meanings remind us that human beings accumulate in our lives unresolved issues or situations, unresolved traumas, anxieties and unfulfilled griefs that need to be dealt with and closed, in order to feel lighter, have more energy, and establish contact with other people and with the environment in a healthier way.

Living Gestalt

Have you ever thought about studying Gestalt psychology?

We offer a living space of consciousness, which recognises its origins in the 1960s with its founder Fritz Perls, and which has been transformed through decades of development, and the influence of the Chilean psychiatrist and great teacher Claudio Naranjo, who proposes a Gestalt based on the experiential and the cultivation of presence in the here and now, which amplifies our consciousness and helps us to heal the wounds of the soul. This has led us to create a "Living Gestaltwhose transformative power is already well known in our society, as it has promoted and continues to promote both personal and social change. Knowing oneself and being aware of the links we establish helps us to improve as people and to get closer to our essence.

At Cercle Gestalt we understand that personal crises respond to an imbalance between our way of thinking, feeling and acting; our aim is to balance these three centres and find congruence between them, as a way of going deeper and discovering who we are, beyond the story we tell ourselves.

Transformation through Gestalt

In the process of transformation through Gestalt, we become aware of our limiting thoughts, and through Gestalt proposals and techniques, these are gradually unravelled, and thus we expand our field of vision. Gestalt accompanies the process of deconstruction of all the things that prevent us from becoming ourselves. Entering into the self-knowledge that Gestalt promotes is a journey to be oneself.

Our gestalt approach

Our Gestalt approach is an invitation to exploration, to openness, as well as to take the path from personal transformation to social involvement, and thus participate with our individual contribution to bring about social change. What sets Cercle Gestalt apart is that it is currently the only institute that proposes involvement through personal projects that contribute to change. In the same way, we place special emphasis on the integration, understanding and maturation of the continuous proposals that Cercle Gestalt generates.

Therefore, the Gestalt path is not only of interest to those who want to work in the field of psychotherapy, but, in general, to all people who want to change the way they relate to themselves, to others and to their environment.
