What is couples therapy?
This therapy aims to improve communication with your partner, as well as to resolve existing conflicts and become aware of the way you communicate with each other; to improve the connection between you, identifying the reactive or defensive mechanisms that harm you. It allows you to become aware of the difficulties that block and damage your relationship, in order to build open and honest forms of communication that strengthen your bond.
When is couple counselling recommended?
Couples therapy is recommended when there are relationship dynamics that are difficult to sustain, communication problems or when there are situations that the couple themselves cannot resolve: family conflicts, dissatisfaction, dissatisfaction, lack of trust, lack of understanding, infidelity, jealousy, disagreements about child-rearing, different sexual needs...
What are the benefits of couples therapy?
The benefits of therapy include: improved communication and understanding within the couple, increased intimacy between the couple, decreased anxiety and stress in the relationship, and learning together to resolve conflicts effectively, resulting in a more connected, loving and constructive relationship.
Is the therapy individual or couple therapy?
Therapy can be individual, couples therapy or a combination of both. In couples therapy, both partners attend the session together and work together to solve their problems.
