Male sexuality, light and shadow
At Cercle de Consciència, we are committed to disseminating knowledge that promotes personal growth, application of the gaze. On 16 May, we held a conference entitled "Male Sexuality: Lights and Shadows", given by Roger Solernou.
This talk explored how the experience of male sexuality is profoundly influenced by the construction of gender. Solernou stressed the importance of men examining how they perceive and experience their sexuality. Ignoring patriarchal shadows can lead to violent, often unconscious, behaviour towards others. By understanding how this social construct limits us, we can move towards a more respectful, fulfilling and satisfying sexuality. One in which tenderness, play, fun, empathy and listening are naturally integrated into our interactions, allowing for a whole-body experience.
Re-appropriating our sexuality means reconnecting deeply with ourselves, tuning into our bodies and emotions.
If you were unable to attend or would like to review the concepts discussed, here is the recorded lecture
